Commerce in Little Village
Little Village is the second most successful commercial district in Chicago, its emergence began in the 60's, with the arrival of migrants, who would later be mostly Mexicans.
It has approximately 1200 stores that offer Mexican-style food: taquerias, tortillerías, butchers, restaurants, candy stores, bakeries, pharmacies, creperies, clothing stores, religious stores ... in short, everything you need, you will find it here.
It is also home to a wide variety of street vendors offering the richest Mexican snacks where of course there is a lot of spicy and corn.
Nothing escapes the Little Village market by making consumers "feel at home" so it is so popular all the time, not only from local visitors, but also from other neighboring communities like Wisconsin and Michigan.
The Chamber of Commerce, after much effort, obtained from the State of Illinois the approval of a support center for small businesses, with the collaboration of Women Business Development Center (WBDC), who will offer various services for those who wish to start or improve a business.
